The Scope of the Network

The IPChain network is in a state of constant consensus - that is, it regularly audits itself by auditing the digital ecosystem. At the same time, all data embedded in the network remains transparent - information about all intellectual property transactions is available to each user.

Because there is no centralized repository of information, it is virtually impossible to take control of a blockchain system, nor is it possible to change data all at once on the entire network, requiring unlimited computing power. The base is distributed to all participants, guaranteeing near-total invulnerability.

An IPChain distributed transaction registry assumes two roles for participants:

  • Node

The hardware-software complex which supports the functioning of the distributed transaction registry, creating new blocks of transactions, coordinating block closures with other network nodes, transferring changes between nodes and storing the full history of transactions, and interacting via the data network with other similar network nodes in accordance with the established rules.

  • Operator

An organization or government agency that has been granted access by a node in the network to receive, enter and process information contained in the IPChain Distributed Transaction Registry, including the creation and maintenance of new item or service repositories.
